Laura Brown, Executive Editor of Harper's Bazaar magazine shares her 5 Fashion Milestones

1. Black leather Valentino jumpsuit
I borrowed this, and I'm not a supermodel or a superhero, but it taught me a lot about confidence. You earn the right to wear what you want.

2. Red Rosie Assoulin suit
I've never been a "suit" girl, but this one just made me feel like a woman. A very glamorous woman in the 1930’s who held men in her thrall. I am going to wear the hell out of it.

3. Bottega Veneta dress
I never dress like a lady enough—being a dedicated jeans girl—but the sheer Forties femininity of this dress makes me want to do it more often. It was effortlessly fetching, and the boys like it too.

4. Dior top
I loved that this top is completely bonkers, really– yellow and pink and half a train? It takes some guts to wear it, but hell, it's fun, and what is fashion without that?

5. Finally, my red Chanel handbag
I've been working in fashion for 20 years and I'd never owned one. But recently, Karl Lagerfeld – who I've been lucky enough to work with a few times this year – sent one to me. It's incredible, and means so much to me. In a weird way, I finally feel like a grown up.
