"When I travel for work I need to hit the ground running, so I can get back home to my kids as soon as possible - after all raising them is the most important work I will ever do. I recently discovered a gem of a new hotel nestled in the heart of SoHo, which for me is the most central place while working in NYC. The Marcello Pozzi-designed, newly opened Hotel Hugo, is quaint in feel, yet with clean, chic river view suites, both of which made me an instant fan of the cozy 124-room hotel. The connecting restaurant, Il Principe, run by the former Sant Ambroeus (best Italian food) chef, made taking a meeting or conference call idyllic and the fact that there is a rooftop bar with a 360-view of the city and a nighttime "scene" makes the Hugo my top choice for undiscovered gems in NYC for home-away-from-home living." - RR
